Appearance: Cherry red color, good depth of color.
Nose: Intense nose, with aromas of ripe red fruit combined with toasty notes from the barrel, also spicy hints, candied cherry, and hints of undergrowth and wet stone.
Palate: Powerful entry on the palate with well-ripened tannins and fresh acidity. Very spicy, full-bodied, straightforward, and persistent, with a long finish.
